Extreme weather/high temperatures

The current high temperatures will have an effect on your running and running sessions. Under the clubs protocols should the temperature exceed 33 degrees sessions will be automatically cancelled. Sessions planned for the high 20's - l0w 30's will be adapted to reduce intensity.

Louise, 5 years of continuous daily runs !

Club member Louise Kemp has now completed 5 years of continuous daily runs of at least 2 miles. Louise started this impressive streak on 28th March 2020 during the first covid lockdown and has kept going through all sorts of weather and even ran around Gatwick airport at 12:15 a.m.

WDAC hosts Three Counties Cross Country

The club was pleased to host the latest Three Counties XC event last Sunday at Irchester Country Park where 436 runners took part. Big thanks to all of the volunteers from the club and Northants Tri who helped make the event a great success.

Well done to everyone who battled the rain today at the Ashby 20, Oakley 20 and Thorney 10K. A special mention for Bruce Whitehead who was first in his age group at the Ashby event. Thanks to Ian Mann for the photos.       

Ben conquers the “Arc of Attrition” 100 mile race

The awesome Ben Shirley finished in a more than impressive 20th place in this years "Arc of Attrition" 100 mile race (https://mudcrew.co.uk/events/arc-of-attrition/) around the Cornish coast, huge congratulations to Ben an amazing achievement!     

From Abu Dhabi to Wootton

Congratulations to Adam Shaw and Steve Adams who represented GB in their age groups at the World Triathlon Championships in Abu Dhabi this weekend.    In equally exotic surroundings the club was well represented at today's cross country event hosted by Wootton Road Runners. Well done to all.
