As a club we are proud of the fact we have achieved a perfect score for England Athletics “Club Standards” requirements.
“Club Standards” covers good governance by the club – this protects the clubs reputation whilst looking after the clubs funds and people. It holds those responsible, the clubs committee, for actions and decisions. It’s represented by the structures, rules, policies and practices in operation at the club.
“Club Standards” covers the “duty of care”, a common law, that applies to all individuals and organisations. Clubs like W&DAC have a duty of care towards its members and we ensure that all activities are safe. The club also recognises that safety is the responsibility of all members to keep others safe and that they should know what to do if they have any concerns.
