Junior Section

The Junior Section is currently fully subscribed.  If you wish to put your child’s name on the waiting list please send an email to membership@wdac.org.uk .  The membership secretary will acknowledge your request and contact you when a vacancy becomes available.

Guest membership

Guest membership is free for the first four sessions (to be taken within two months, following which you should apply for full membership).  You can find details on our membership pages or send an email to membership@wdac.org.uk for more information.

The main training session on Tuesday evenings is open to all members.  The Thursday session is by invitation only, please speak to the coaches for further information.

The Junior section is open to anyone from 9 to 16 years old. We have fully qualified coaches running each session to ensure child safety.  From Easter through to September we train on a 400m grass track.  The training sessions include sprinting to middle and long distance running.  During the months from September to April, training is carried out on footpaths in the vicinity of the Old Grammarians site.

Our junior members currently meet on Tuesday’s at Sir Christopher Hatton School (October-March) and Tuesday’s (March/April-September) & Thursday evenings from 6.30 – 8.00pm at The Old Grammarians Memorial Sports Field, Sywell Road, Wellingborough NN8 6BS.

 

NEWS:

Parents: Be sure to join the Juniors Facebook page to be kept up to date with all arrangements for transport to events amongst other things.

The club also uses the “Spond” booking app where you can see and book your child onto upcoming sessions. Invitations on how to join “Spond” and download the app are sent via the mobile phone number or email address you have provided us. If you need this re-sending please let us know.

Will you please ensure that your child arrives with sufficient layers of clothing to suit the prevailing weather conditions.

Please also ensure that all clothing and personal items are labelled to aid identification of the owner.
