Happy Christmas from all at WDAC

The final formal club session of the year is on Thursday 21st December with training sessions resuming on Thursday 4th January 2024. On Saturday 23rd December it's the clubs Xmas Parkrun at Irchester Country Park, all members and partners welcome.

Last X Country of the year

There was good club representation at the latest Three Counties X Country event hosted by North Herts Road Runners in Baldock with Jonny Reep finishing in 7th place. Well done to all.

Big club turnout for Delapre Cross Country

There was a big turnout of club members and supporters for today's second Three Counties cross country league race at Delapre. Well done to all.    And further afield Gareth Lewis ran a solid half marathon in Benidorm happy to evade the three "sweeper" bikes that followed the entrants!

Some mixed venues for club runners over the weekend! - back in time at the Irchester Country Parkrun 4th anniversary run and a trio of great performances at the New York marathon for Jonny Reep (2:39:11), Jason French (3:16:04) & Ian Jones (3:16:05).

Big turn-out for 3 Counties XC at Irchester Country Park

Moving our "3 Counties" race to Irchester Country Park proved a good decision with several clubs and 491 runners taking part. A big thank-you to everyone who took part and the volunteers who made the day a massive success. A full range of photos from the day can be found on

Grand slammer

A massive congratulations to Marc Sanderson who completed the final leg, and grand slam, of the Go Beyond Sport ultra series. Marc has completed the Country to Capital, Rose of The Shires, Shires & Spires and Thames Trail ultra marathons.

Weekend round-up

It was the first race of the cross-country season at Keysoe with 15 runners representing the club - the ladies team was 6th, men's team 7th and the juniors team 10th.    At the Ladybower Resevoir Ultra there was an impressive debut for Zoe Pitt accompanies by former club member Lydia Wilkie.
