Since 1998, the club has been proud to host our own event, the Wellingborough 5. The race is part of the Northamptonshire Athletics Association’s Northamptonshire Road Race League.

The start line is 10 mins walk from the race headquarters. There will be distance markers every mile and at least 1 water station. The Welly 5 is a fairly flat route, and a run to get a PB.


There will be a technical T-shirt for all entrants.
There will be individual trophies to first three in all categories…

  • Open men, senior, vet 40, 50 & 60
  • Open female, senior, vet 35, 45 & 55
  • (Winners will be given the trophy for the age category in which they run.)

UKA Affiliated Team 1st and 2nd place prizes

  • Males team of first 4 adding finishing positions
  • Females team of first 3 as above.

County champs vet medals

  • Ladies – 5 year age groups from Vet 35
  • Men – 5 year age groups from Vet 40


Online Entries are now closed.

There is a minimum age of 15 years on the day of the race. All race chips and numbers are to be collected on the day of the race at the Headquarters. There will be no numbers or chips sent out by post.

Fun Run

This year we will be holding a 2.2k fun run for under 15s & Junior Dash.
Enter on the day for £2.
Limited to 50 places.
The Fun Run Race starts at 10am.
