Extreme weather

Some good advice from Go Beyond/Simon Hollis.
With high temperatures forecast over the next few days, please be mindful of the conditions outside.
? Choose to run either first thing in the morning, or later on in the evening – avoiding the midday sun.
? Keep in the shade if you can. Live near a wood? This is a great time of year to switch the road for trails.
? Make sure to apply suncream before your run.
? Use a cap to keep the sun off your head and face. Even better – dip your hat in water before the start of your run to keep your head nice and cool.
? Light coloured running clothes will help reflect the heat.
⌚ Adjust your pace according to the conditions.
Ultimately, if you are struggling with the heat, DO NOT RUN. For most of us, running is a hobby and a few days without training won’t cause us to lose our fitness.
Stay safe out there. ❤️
