Jonny wins again

Congratulations to Jonny Reep who won the North Herts Road Runners 3 Counties cross-country event in Baldock yesterday. A big well done to the rest of the WDAC team who took part.   

Paul completes 500th Parkrun

Congratulations to Paul Hewitt who completed his 500th Parkrun today at the Racecourse, Northampton.  

Club location change imminent

From Tuesday, 26th November 2024 - 25th, March 2025 we will be holding our Tuesday training sessions for both junior and senior sections at Wrenn Academy, Doddington Road, Wellingborough and not Sir Christopher Hatton where our Tuesday sessions are currently held. Thursday sessions remain at the OG's, Sywell Road.  

Jonny outruns the vampires at the Spooktacular!

Jonny Reep finished first at the Irchester "Spooktacular" 5K race outrunning vampires, ghosts and all manner of spooky beasts! Congratulations to Jonny and all of the other club members who took part and volunteered at the events.    The 5K race and2K family run were organised by club member Mary Pearson's "Race

WDAC at the World Triathlon Finals

The club was well represented at the finals across all disciplines with notable performances by Sarah Hollis who won a bronze medal in the sprint race and the evergreen Phil Kidd who was part of a gold medal winning team in the mixed team relays. Well done to all.          

WDAC hosts Three Counties Cross Country

The club was pleased to host the latest Three Counties XC event last Sunday at Irchester Country Park where 436 runners took part. Big thanks to all of the volunteers from the club and Northants Tri who helped make the event a great success.

Making a splash in Keysoe and hitting the roads in Peterborough & Leicester

Well done to our junior, ladies and mens team at the Keysoe cross-county event on Saturday who enjoyed a suitably muddy course with a spectacular water feature!     On Sunday there were outstanding performances by Jason French and Paul Huckle at the Great Eastern Run and Joseph Abel at the Leicester 10K.

An amazing performance by Jason French representing England Masters at this years Chester Marathon. Jason's time of 2:35:38 gained him a "championship entry" in next years TCS London Marathon.  

Jason wins the Amazing Northampton Run

Topping an impressive turn-out by the club members was a superb performance by Jason French who won the half-marathon event in a time of 1:15. Special mentions to Joseph Able who ran the event dressed as Santa in a world record attempt and to club member Simon Hollis whose "Go Beyond"
