Some good advice from Go Beyond/Simon Hollis.
With high temperatures forecast over the next few days, please be mindful of the conditions outside.
Choose to run either first thing in the morning, or later on in the evening – avoiding the midday sun.
Keep in the shade if you can. Live near a wood? This is a great time of year to switch the road for trails.
Make sure to apply suncream before your run.
Use a cap to keep the sun off your head and face. Even better – dip your hat in water before the start of your run to keep your head nice and cool.
Light coloured running clothes will help reflect the heat.
Adjust your pace according to the conditions.
Ultimately, if you are struggling with the heat, DO NOT RUN. For most of us, running is a hobby and a few days without training won’t cause us to lose our fitness.
Stay safe out there.
