The Club’s AGM will be held at the Old Grammarians Sports field (function room) after training on the 28th April, 7.45pm.
All members are invited and encouraged to attend. It is an opportunity to vote in the committee members and discuss any business relating to the club. All reports will be circulated ahead of the meeting via email.
The role of Treasurer and Ladies Captain are currently vacant, but anyone may stand for any position. If you would like to stand for a role, please inform me in writing by close of play on the 25th April. All positions are available to view on the website.
Please also be aware that there are 2 proposed amendments to the constitution.
Point 7.6.
Current: “ The quorum for the AGM will be 20% of the adult membership of the club’.
Recommendation: Point to be removed.
Point 13.1
Current: “ The constitution will only be changed through agreement by majority vote at the AGM or EGM”.
Recommendation: “ The constitution will only be changed through agreement by a significant majority vote of 75% at the AGM or EGM”.
The change was proposed as members attendance of the AGM can only be requested, not enforced, as such minimum numbers cannot be imposed. If you are unable to attend the AGM, you may vote on this matter in advance of the meeting. Please submit your vote in writing to myself or Jon Kemp.
